Nick finshed up at Wentworth Institute of Technology and graduated. His school has trimesters and internships, so it's not that unusual to graduate during the summer. We were surprised at how many people were there. Brian, Karen, Stacey, and my mother got there almost an hour and a half early and still only managed to find seats way in back. It was a beautiful sunny day.

Kenny and Donna went up with use from the beach which meant we were heading up from a different way. We got directions and figured we would know what to do when we got into Boston. We were very mistaken. We go to the tunnel, but it wasn't anything like where we would have been if we had gotten there from the Mass Pike. So we went to the end, which is Logan Airport, and figured if we turned around, we would get to the part of the tunnel we recognized. Nope. We were all over the place. We tried to head towards Government Center, but that was worse. We asked for directions when we hit Beacon Hill. That was even worse. Finally we got onto Storrow Drive, so I could remember back to my Emmanuel days to get us where we needed to go. We finally got there with a half hour to spare. Somehow we found Brian and the seats he had saved. Robin and Holly were also there, which was a nice surprise. Holly and Nick keep in touch quite a bit, so it was great that they were able to make it up for the day.

During the ceremony some students were mentioned in the president's speech. What a surprise it was when she mentioned Nick as someone who had shown great leadership thru his concrete canoe project. It was pretty cool. I don't remember the exact way she put it, but we have the DVD of the graduation, so we can go back to it.
