Ryan and Ryley's Birthday Party
(As with all our photos, click on one anywhere in our site, and it will open up bigger)

The annual Ryan/Ryley birthday party is always fun, but there was some extra flavor this year to put it a little over the top. It wasn't as nice outside as usual, so we all pretty much stayed inside. I'm pretty sure horseshoes was played, but since I'm a wimp about the cold, I have no idea.

Anyway, Ryan had gotten this really cool kitchen for Christmas so Jake and Madison were totally hooked up with what they were going to do all day. Ryan was nice enough to overlook that everything was getting put in the wrong places and that yes, some of the stuff would end up in Jacob's mouth. I'm sure it was a tough pill for Ryan to swallow, but he was a good sport.

When we got there, people were missing. Well, not exactly missing, but upstairs sleeping. I don't know what was going on, and the stories are inconsistent, but let's just leave it that some were definitely off sleeping for much of the party.

They didn't opt for the big sub this year. They've been doing that lately so that they can pretty much hang out and party rather than be cooking. So, Rob headed out to the grill and made pork, chicken, and steak. Yup, lots of meat. Well, you would have thought there was lots of meat, but that's where the other interesting event popped up. I think some people were just waiting for the food to come out because as soon as it did, they were heading out - sort of. Now, Rob is still outside, Ean is at baseball, and Rosie is hosting. So not everyone has eaten yet. Plus you know how people love to go back for more at a party, right? Well those that wanted to leave also wanted to take doggie bags with them. Too funny, right? Like it's the Sizzler or something. Anyway it wasn't just plates for themselves. They wanted to basically feed everyone at home, too. Rosie had to hide a piece of meat in the microwave for Ean because it was a frenzy of tin foil and paper plates. Way too funny for us to watch. The joke of the night was if there was any steak left.

Yup, always something crazy going on at their place! A good time.
