Pumpkin Time !

(As with all our photos, click on one anywhere in our site, and it will open up bigger)

We went on a couple excursions with the boys to get pumpkins. The first place we went is just down the street in East Hampton. Each year this nursery puts together a thing called "Pumpkintown USA". Basically it's a bunch of buildings with pumpkin people. There was a "sort of" maze, but that was really just a bunch of hay bales. You could see over them, so you could pretty much figure out how to get out without muc thought. Of course, it was still kind of challenge for Mr. Jacob. On the weekends there also is a bounce house and some extra stuff, but we went during the week when it was slower. This was really just a quick reward for Jacob being a good boy. The next outing was to Foster's Farm in South Windsor. This is a small place that has a bunch of different playscapes, a hay ride, some animals, and some corn mazes. We went last year with my mother and had a good time, so we went again this year. Jacob was old enough to do in the kid's maze. This is an actual corn stalk maze, but it's just for the little kids. So, it doesn't have an out. It has an entrance, and you just walk around. If you walk to the end, you will spiral to the center and you have to turn around and retrace your steps to get out. Jacob had fun. Mitchell was a little too young for this, but we propped him up for some photo ops.
